The Department of Architecture at AUC aims to equip future architects with a comprehensive vision integrating various aspects of the built environment: how it is planned, designed, used and appreciated by society; and to prepare students for starting a successful professional and academic career as Architects by granting them an internationally recognized Professional Degree validated by the International Union of Architects (UNESCO/UIA).

Our approach to biology education is dynamic to keep the program current with advances being made in the field. At AUC, as in many colleges and universities, there is a growing tendency to merge what has historically diverged into widely segregated fields: botany and zoology; classical and modern molecular approach; and field and laboratory studies.

The Department of Chemistry trains students in both the theory and practice of the major branches of chemistry. It prepares students for careers in diverse fields such as industries chemical, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, metal and metal finishing, cement, petrochemicals, textiles, and paints.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering embodies the science and technology of design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware components of modern computing systems and computer-controlled equipment. 

The Department of Construction Engineering covers the basic civil engineering components such as structures, geotechnicals, water resources, transportation, and environmental engineering.

The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering strives to strike a balance between theoretical and laboratory experience and imparts the fundamental and practical understanding of the principles required for a successful career in electronics and communications engineering.

The Department of Mathematics and Actuarial Science equips students to apply his/her knowledge in industry or teaching and prepares the students for advanced study of mathematics and other fields. Actuarial experts apply mathematical models to improve financial decision-making by evaluating the financial implications of uncertain future events.

Students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering will be able to practice professionally as team members or leaders in both local and global, multidisciplinary environments; advance their careers in mechanical engineering or other fields through promotions, positions of increasing responsibilities or professional certification.

The Department of Petroleum Energy Engineering encourages and trains students on the exploration, drilling, reservoir and production operations. Economic and environmentally safe petroleum production and processing require the application of engineering principles in addition to a wide spectrum of knowledge including chemistry, geology, physics, and mathematics.

The Department of Physics provides students with thorough and flexible training in the fundamental aspects of classical and modern physics. Lecture material is reinforced and complemented by closely integrated laboratory work, and the varied course offerings provide several options from which students may choose according to their interests and abilities.

The Institute of Global Health and Human Ecology (I-GHHE) is an interdisciplinary academic research department that draws on the many talents of faculty in the natural, biomedical, behavioral and social sciences; engineering; business; and policy to provide sustainable solutions for addressing issues of health and disease prevention.
