MSACESS
AUC holds institutional accreditation from the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in the United States (MSCHE). Institutional accreditation status is granted by MSCHE for a period of ten years, with a mid-way periodic review.
NAQAAE
In December 2010, AUC became the first University in Egypt to be accredited at the institutional level by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE), a government body formed in 2007 with the purpose of establishing quality standards for Egypt's educational institutions. AUC's School of Sciences and Engineering also received NAQAAE accreditation at the school level.
Supreme Council of Universities
The current Petroleum Engineering program received the Supreme Council of Universities reaccreditation in 2022 and the accreditation is valid until the end of the academic year 2025/2026.
ABET
The Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET accredits the Petroleum Engineering (BS) program under the commission's General Criteria and the Program Criteria for the Petroleum and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.
