Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam Registration
Eligibility
You would be eligible to enter the Practice of Engineering (PE) exam when:
- You have obtained your engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- You have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- You have gained four years of acceptable engineering experience
Important Notes:
- If your program is not accredited by ABET, you can ask the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) to perform the credentials evaluation service. For more details about the credentials evaluation, click here.
- For more information about acceptable engineering experience, refer to the NCEES Model Rules, section 230.20.
Registration process
Register with AUC
- Download and fill in the Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam (PE) forms, then send the original forms to the School of Sciences and Engineering (ESS)
Note: You may download and complete the forms immediately - Forms are to be submitted with all supporting documents that prove each and every information stated
- Proof of working with the American code is a must
- Documents will be revised by the PE professor at AUC and subject to approval or rejection
Register with NCEES
- Register for your desired exam type (choose your discipline) and location (choose AUC from the list)
- Log in/create an account at NCEES here
Payment of Fees
- NCEES exam to be paid directly to NCEES using your credit card
- AUC administrative fees are EGP 5,500, payable directly to AUC by cash, credit card or a certified check
