About SSE Academic Services Center (ASC):

We ensure smooth student academic transitions, manage declaration processes, and guide students in making informed decisions about their academic paths, in alignment with FERPA regulations. In addition, we oversee and support local and international program accreditation processes for SSE majors, ensuring the highest standards of academic quality. 

For Undergraduate Students:

• Provides support to newly admitted students from the moment they join AUC, guiding them through their transition until they are assigned to their major faculty advisors in the following semester. 

• Assists current School of Sciences and Engineering students considering a change of major and are academically at-risk.

• Guides declaration processes for both incoming and continuing students, 

• Supports scholarship students in developing their study plans.

• Aids students interested in studying abroad, in coordination with the respective departments. 

• Advises non-science students enrolled in sciences and engineering courses on related academic matters.

   

For Graduate Students:

• Serves as a key liaison between programs, faculty, and students. 

• Assists in the academic advising, assists in resolving student cases, contributes to student success initiatives, and helps ensure the smooth operation of graduate academic and administrative services in the school. 

• Managing MSc and PhD admissions and fellowship processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely decisions for sciences and engineering graduate programs.

• Oversees thesis and graduation processes, coordinates graduate course scheduling for interdisciplinary programs.
