Facilities of the Department of Architecture include modern ICT laboratories, design studios, a building sciences laboratory. These labs house an environmental chamber, laser cutting and 3D printing facilities. The design studio is at the core of the architectural academic process in the Department of Architecture at AUC. The experience in the studio is the primary mode of exploration and learning. Students are encouraged to apply the content and skills learned in other courses into the design process in studio. The process, rather than the product, is focused on as the product is viewed as a cumulative reflection of that process.

A state-of-the-art testing lab with a primary mission to advance high-performance building design and sustainable practices in Egypt. It houses an Environmental Chamber for testing full-size wall/window samples, a Heliodon for modeling daylight and advanced computer simulation facilities. A sophisticated weather station supports these activities.

A state-of-the-art computational design lab housing laser cutting and 3D printing equipment to advance the parametric architectural design and modeling practice. It houses laser cutters and 3D printers.

Two teaching labs housing high-performance computers, an open lab with free student access for project development and printing. The design studios are also equipped with computers for student work. All are linked with a high-speed network.
