Muhammad Khaled Hammad
Muhammad is responsible for all operations of CARES and the graduate program in Sustainable Development at AUC. Muhammad holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University. He also holds an Executive Management Diploma and an Environmental Engineering Certificate from the American University in Cairo. Prior to joining CARES, he worked at the Office of Planning, Design, and Construction at the AUC for 6 years, wherein in 2015, he decided to shift gears and pursue his passion for Sustainable Development and Environmental Engineering. In his prior role as assistant to the director of CARES and Graduate Program for Sustainable Development Coordinator in 2017, Muhammad received an award of appreciation from the School of Sciences and Engineering for his outstanding dedication and service to the center and the school.
Fahad Kimera
Fahad joined CARES in 2015, first as a Masters student, graduating in February, 2018, and joined CARES team shortly after. He seeks to develop his career in research to protect our natural environment and boost both human and ecological health - all while promoting a viable and renewed economic vitality. He hopes to make a difference by creating innovations that do not compromise people’s ways of life, and through innovations that protect and enrich cultures and human well-being towards a global sustainable community. Khaled Madkour
Finding himself in a place where he wanted to put his interests in sustainability into practice, Khaled joined RISE five years ago as a Researcher and continued to work as a team member of CARES after the merger between RISE and the CSD. Khaled currently works on research on aquaponic and hydroponic systems, and he also participated in CARES' Water Academy programs. His long-term vision is to take part in making CARES one of the major entrepreneurial platforms in sustainability in Egypt, which he can further with the Master of Science in Sustainable Development that he is currently earning from AUC. In his spare time, Khaled enjoys reading and playing basketball.
