Message from the Director
Only through sustainable development will enable Egyptians to attain a better quality of life and meet their current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own.
Here at CARES, we seek to help Egypt, Africa and the world as a whole reach the goal of sustainability, where our human practices don’t compromise the ability of future generations to fulfill their own needs. Our aim is to mobilize real changes in the community by producing more generations who understand and are aware of the challenges lying ahead and who can develop real holistic solutions for them. We believe this will cause a multiplier effect, where those graduates of our programs will then go on to become ambassadors for sustainability by spreading their knowledge and expertise to others in their communities, thus affecting real change over time.
At CARES, we try to bridge the gap between research and community work by conducting research in different fields related to sustainable development and developing interventions to solve community issues we face every day, such as water scarcity, education, agriculture, energy and more. We believe that with these 3 components, Education, Research and Community Development, we can steer development efforts in Egypt and the region toward achieving Sustainable Development goals. I would like to invite you all to join our team at CARES in our endeavor to reach a sustainable future for all.
