Center for Applied Research on the Environment and Sustainability (CARES)
Center for Applied Research on the Environment and Sustainability (CARES) is a result of the merger of the Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) and the Research Institute for a Sustainable Environment (RISE). RISE serves as a multidisciplinary institute dedicated to promoting research of sustainable environments in Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa. The institute represents a reaffirmation and strengthening of AUC's commitment to sustainable environmental education and research.
Yousef Jameel Science and Technology Research Center (YJ-STRC)
The Yousef Jameel Science and Technology Research Center is an interdisciplinary center that draws on the expertise of the university’s engineering and science departments. Our mission is to establish an internationally competitive research activity at AUC resourced and supported to the highest standards.
The CND was founded in 2012 as a joint research center between AUC and Zeweil city with the purpose of using nanotechnology to develop advanced electronic devices and microscopic sensors that can be widely used in a variety of industries, and could improve quality of life in Egypt and the Arab region.
