Message from the Director
Since its establishment in April 2012, the Center collaborated with top international industries. It was founded by Intel, Mentor Graphics, Silicon Vision, Global Foundries, Helic CAD, and Semi-Conductor Research collaborations, which include IBM and Synopsys, among many others.
The faculty and researchers in the Center have contributed tremendously to the global industry. The contributions of the Center have helped in major acquisitions in fields of Electronic devices, Custom digital VLSI, Analog, RF and mixed-signal circuits, Bio-chips, System-on-Chip (SoC) design, Solar harvesting, CAD, MEMs, optics and optoelectronics, EDA, Innovative Design Methodologies and Verification Techniques, and Hybrid Systems Integration.
The Center’s Alumni have not only gone to the industry but also to major international universities as professors and researchers, e.g., MIT, Caltech, Ohio State, Cornel, Northwestern, USC, Georgia Tech, McGill, Waterloo, UBC, UIUC, UCSD, NUS.
Hence, I am very happy that the Center is achieving its mission of acting as a bridge between Egyptian talent and top international industry and academia, exposing this talent in creating a network of talented Egyptians around the world.
