Chemistry - BSc
The program's objective is to train students in both theory and practice in the major branches of chemistry. It prepares students for careers in diverse fields such as industries (chemical, food, and beverages, pharmaceuticals, metal and metal finishing, cement, petrochemicals, textiles, paints); environmental monitoring and protection; quality control and quality assurance; clinical analysis; diagnostics; marketing and sales for chemicals and specialty chemicals; education; academic and industrial research.
The program covers the five main branches of chemistry: organic, biochemistry, inorganic, physical, and analytical. Theoretical and applied knowledge are both reinforced and supplemented by a diverse selection of experimental work. Two areas of specialization are offered. These entail clinical chemistry and industrial chemistry.
The Canadian Society accredits the Bachelor of Science in chemistry for Chemistry (CSC) and the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
